StripedGolf

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 July 2026

StripedGolf ("the app", "we") is a golf performance-tracking app available at stripedgolf.app and as a mobile app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect the minimum needed to make the app work.

Who is responsible for your data

StripedGolf is operated by David Flavell (United Kingdom). For anything related to your data, contact: davidflavell@gmail.com.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)

Who processes your data for us

Your data is stored and processed by these service providers, acting under our instructions:

What other users can see

StripedGolf has social features. Users who follow you can see your display name, profile photo, handicap, and the rounds you log (including scores, highlights and any round photos). If you join a competition, other players in it see your entered name and live score. If you prefer a private experience, simply don't follow anyone or join competitions — your data stays visible only to you.

How long we keep it, and deleting your account

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account from inside the app (Profile → Delete account), which permanently removes your account and all rounds, statistics, photos and social activity. This cannot be undone. You can export your rounds as a CSV file from the app at any time before deleting.

Your rights

Under UK/EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, export, and erase your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Most of these you can do directly in the app (edit profile, export CSV, delete account); for anything else, email us. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

Children

StripedGolf is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Database access is protected by per-user row-level security, so users can only read the data the app's features intend them to see. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and never stored in readable form.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above, and highlight the change in the app.
